Parent Intake and Suitability Assessment A parent intake call is required before a child consultation can proceed. The purpose of the intake call is to discuss the child's circumstances, explain the process, answer questions, and assess whether a child consultation is appropriate for the family’s circumstances. Child consultations are subject to: The consent of all parties with parental responsibility where required; Assessment of suitability by the child consultant; and The child's willingness and capacity to participate. Booking a parent intake call does not guarantee that a child consultation will proceed. The intake fee covers the parent intake appointment and suitability assessment process and is therefore non-refundable once the appointment has occurred, regardless of whether a child consultation is subsequently recommended or proceeds. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy One complimentary reschedule is available with notice prior to the appointment time. Failure to attend without notice, or cancellation after a rescheduled appointment has been confirmed, may result in the booking fee being forfeited.
